“To listen is to lean in softly, with a willingness to be changed by what we hear”

Mark Nebo

Thanks for visiting.

Maybe this is the first time you are looking for therapy or maybe you have tried it before and you are looking for a new approach.

Maybe you want to improve upon your already great relationship or maybe you and your partner are having the same conflict or difficulties relating to each other over and over, no matter how much effort you put in to change?

In Relational Life Therapy we address unhelpful dynamics and teach new ways to approach and resolve seemingly entrenched patterns and behaviours.

It is important to know that we all experience times of distress and struggle in our lives and that we are not alone.

Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment where you can look into the challenges that you are facing, openly communicate and learn new ways to connect and improve your relationships.

Starting therapy can be a difficult step to take, and yet, it holds the possibility of positive change whether you are looking for individual or couples therapy.

Take the first step towards a more connected and harmonious life by scheduling a session with me today. Your journey begins here.

My work as a therapist holds at its core a warm, gentle, empathic and non-judgemental approach and is both supportive and challenging as needed.

Special offer for limited time only:

As part of my RLT (Relational Life Therapy) training I am looking for volunteer couples who are interested in trying therapy, and able to commit to regular weekly or fortnightly sessions.

I am offering 5 sessions at no cost to a limited number of couples.

Not only for those who experience relationship difficulties, this  revolutionary approach to relating is invaluable also for couples who want to learn techniques and tools, “a whole new relationship technology”, to gain understanding to a deeper way of relating and to avoid common relationship pitfalls from the get go.

Depending on location I can offer in-person sessions or via zoom. Get in touch, below.

The word “Gestalt” means whole. People are whole entities consisting of body, mind, and soul, and are best understood when viewed through their own eyes; not by looking back into the past but by bringing the past into the present.

Part of the first session will be an opportunity to get to know you a little before we dive into therapy, and to start building a trusting relationship and safe environment for us to work together.

We will look at what you wish for in your relationship – what you are hoping for coming to couples counselling, and for me to get an idea and understanding of the issue(s) that brought you to therapy.

I will compassionately confront and show you what you are doing to harm your relationship and what to do differently to improve it and reconnect with your partner – and yourself.

We will go deep into uncovering where your negative behaviours came from and I will teach you skills on how to change them and shift old patterns of relating,

The way I work incorporates relational psychotherapy as well as mindfulness practises, somatics and other creative experiential approaches to facilitate personal growth and balance.

With this self-awareness you will begin to understand how your emotional and physical selves are connected and develop confidence around having better relationships, within a richer, fuller and more meaningful life,

Individual sessions are 1 hour in duration of which 50 min is therapy and the remaining 10 min is reserved for case notes taking and admin work.

I provide strictly private and confidential relationship and individual therapy.

I will not share your information with anyone.

RLT is a form of Couples & Relationship therapy that will dramatically improve your relationship with your partner and yourself by learning how to cultivate more authentic, healthy and deeper connections.

It quickly identifies the root of negative behaviours and uncovers where they came from to then be able to understand and overcome them. RLT incorporates deep relational trauma and inner child work in the presence of your partner which allows couples to grow closer.

RLT teaches people how to understand themselves better and how to behave differently in the service of the relationship. It’s a move from an individualistic ‘me’ and ‘you’ paradigm to a ‘us’ consciousness.

The key to creating change that lasts is learning skills and being equipped with powerful tools we all need to keep building authentic, healthy and fulfilling relationships.

Gestalt therapy is a form of psychotherapy that emphasises personal responsibility and works on understanding the conscious aspects of our present lived experience as well as bringing the unconscious aspects into awareness.

It focuses on your experience in the present moment, the environmental and social contexts of your life, and the self-regulating adjustments you may have made as a result of your overall situation.

With a strong emphasis on support, Gestalt therapy uses a relational approach where client and therapist work together, co-creating a healing relationship.

Gestalt therapy is grounded in awareness and centred in the present.

What that means is that even though we might be talking about a past event or a future concern, the therapist will always bring it back to the here and now.

Part of our first session together will serve as a brief introduction to Gestalt and what to expect. It will be an opportunity to ask questions and get to know each other before we move into actual therapy.

This is the first step in building a trusting relationship and safe environment for us to work within, and for me to start to understand the core issues that brought you to therapy.

I will gather relevant information about your history and personal background. We will also discuss possible goals and contracts for our work together.

From the safety of the therapeutic relationship you can gain more understanding of how you relate to the important people in your life and the world in general.

Here you will have the opportunity to recognise and practise thinking, feeling and relating in new and positive ways.

I hold a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy and have trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

I am currently working towards my Certification as a Relational Life Therapist. I am a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher with over 18 years’ experience in group and private settings.
